Salomon XT-6 BSTN 5AM: first BSTN collab, iridescent upper, listed 10 October 2026

· By Redacción HYPEIBIZA

BSTN's first shoe with Salomon turns the XT-6 into a 5 AM theme: an iridescent upper, contrast stitching and an insole that shifts from blue to orange. Shops list style L45567700 for 10 October 2026.

The Salomon XT-6 BSTN 5AM is the first footwear collaboration between BSTN and Salomon. Its design is built around 5 AM, the quiet stretch between night and day, and shops list style L45567700 for 10 October 2026 in the colourway Black/Almond Milk.

A trail shoe reworked around a single hour

BSTN describes the project as its first Salomon collaboration and says the pair channels the early-morning moment into materials rather than graphics. The 5 AM idea shows up in a finish that responds to light, contrast stitching and the colours of the insole.

BSTN's name appears on a label beneath the laces, alongside the Common Ground slogan. The lateral heel carries both brands' names. Those placements put the collaboration on the shoe without making the upper's changing finish harder to see.

The XT-6 began as a Salomon trail-running shoe and later found an audience for everyday wear. Its technical shape gives this collaboration a different starting point from a plain leather sneaker. The 5 AM concept changes how the pair looks in the light, while its trail components remain part of the design.

The finish that changes with the light

The upper combines a single layer of mesh with abrasion-resistant TPU and has a soft, breathable textile lining. Its iridescent finish changes with light and movement. That effect is central to the early-morning theme: the appearance can vary as the angle and lighting change.

Contrast stitching adds another visible detail against the dark upper. The listed colourway is Black/Almond Milk, but that name alone won't tell you how the iridescent finish looks in different light. Check the shoe from more than one angle if that changing surface is what interests you.

The moulded OrthoLite insole carries co-branding and moves from cool blue to warm orange. Those colours echo the transition towards sunrise more directly than the dark exterior does. It's an inside detail, so it helps to look beyond the usual side-on image when identifying this edition.

Outsole, chassis and lacing

The Mud Contagrip outsole has deep lugs with sharp edges. That's the trail element you can spot most easily by turning the shoe over. The outsole's pronounced pattern also sets it apart visually from the flat tread on many everyday sneakers.

Salomon lists agileCHASSIS for stability and cushioning on this pair. It sits alongside the outsole as part of the XT-6's trail-oriented setup. The specification identifies the system, but it doesn't replace trying the shoe if you need to judge how it feels underfoot.

The lacing system is quickLACE, which tightens with a pull rather than a tied bow. Salomon also lists endoFit and SensiFit as parts of the fit system. Together, these details give a clearer picture of the shoe's setup than the 5 AM name alone.

The reported 10 October date

The pair is listed for 10 October 2026. That's a marketplace listing date, not a confirmed release date from Salomon, so treat the timing as expected. The design details come from BSTN's description of its collaboration; the date has a different status.
